Indiana Jones: The Crystal Skull

My angle: Watched this without much expectation.

Kid Friendly: Teenagers. Indiana Jones as a franchise is generally violent, gross, and full of innuendo. This installment is no exception.

Spiritual Issues: Pluralistic – Indiana Jones has always implied that each culture’s gods are equivalent this movie comes right out and says so.

This movie gets back to the franchise’s roots by being funny, yet serious. The movies between the original and this one take the moments of campy humor and build the whole movies on them. I enjoyed the movie but it is merely enjoyable at a surface level.

I did find the whole alliens as gods thing amusing. I will have to do a review on the movie Expelled where it points out that many evolutionary theorists have found themselves backed into the corner that life on earth came from space.

There is a God and that one God made the heavens and the earth.
